How much does a heat pump cost?

The price of a residential heat pump normally ranges from $3,500 to $10,000, including installation. The unit's capacity (expressed in BTUs), options, brand, installation complexity and number of outlets are the factors that most influence price.

What are the advantages of a heat pump?

The heat pump is both an air conditioner and a heating system. Consuming very little electricity, it provides low-cost cooling and heating. It also removes humidity from indoor air, making the building more comfortable.

How long does a heat pump last?

The lifespan of a heat pump normally varies between 10 and 20 years. Periodic maintenance is largely responsible for a longer service life. The quality of the unit and its installation are equally important.

How much energy does a heat pump save?

The energy savings of a heat pump can reach and exceed 50% compared with electric baseboard heaters. The location where the heat pump is installed, the unit's energy performance and its capacity are all factors to consider when it comes to energy savings.

What's the difference between a wall-mounted heat pump and a central heat pump?

Both wall-mounted and central heat pumps are equipped with an outdoor unit. The central heat pump has at least one wall-mounted indoor outlet. A central heat pump, on the other hand, has a central device that distributes air to several rooms through a system of ducts.

Wall-mounted heat pumps are ideal for heating and cooling entire floors and open-plan spaces. The central heat pump is ideal for heating and cooling several rooms or floors with a single unit.

Can a heat pump or wall-mounted air conditioner cool the whole house?

It all depends on the configuration of your home. A wall-mounted heat pump or wall-mounted air conditioner can easily air-condition all the open spaces on an entire floor.

When there are several floors or divisions to be air-conditioned, the ideal solution is to connect several outlets to your wall-mounted unit.

Is it possible to heat all winter with a heat pump?

Some heat pumps can heat the building down to an outdoor temperature of -35 degrees. These heat pumps can therefore be used for heating most of the time.

How much does it cost to remove an oil heating system?

The cost of replacing an oil-fired heating system with an electric boiler varies according to a number of factors. Substantial subsidies are available to reduce the cost of such work. Our specialists will provide you with a detailed quotation including the subsidies to which you are entitled.
